Why walk when you can dance? And why dance when you can dance naked? I photographed hundreds of amazing performers in many cities and countries.
Naked ballet may seem like a ridiculous idea, but many people enjoy this form of dance. Choreographers, dancers, fans and critics all have strong opinions both for and against the idea. The whole art of dance is a celebration of the ability, shape and form of the human body.

Pointe ballet shoes in colours that match Asian and black skin tones are being made for the first time in the UK. For women of colour, practising ballet used to mean having to paint pointe shoes to match their skin tone, as the shoes were only available in variations of pale pink, cream or nude. Although ballet shoes created for women of colour have been available in the US for more than a year, this is the first time they will be handmade in the UK.
Two dancers were fired from the New York City Ballet on Saturday amid accusations that they were part of a ring of male dancers who inappropriately shared nude photos and videos of women. The firings came after a woman who dated Finlay, Alexandra Waterbury, said in a lawsuit this month he sent explicit videos and photos of her taken without her knowledge to other men including dancers with the company. Ramasar and Catarazo, who were identified in the lawsuit as having shared nude photos with Finlay, were initially suspended without pay before the company moved to fire them.
Updated April 20, An arbitrator has ruled the New York City Ballet NYCB must reinstate two male dancers who were fired for sharing sexually explicit texts and nude photos of women. The arbitrator decided the company should not have fired Amar Ramasar and Zachary Catazaro after they were named in a lawsuit by a woman who accused the ballet company of tolerating a "fraternity-like atmosphere" in which male dancers understood that "they could degrade, demean, mistreat and abuse, assault and batter women without consequence". Ramasar, who was a star with the company and appeared in last year's Broadway revival of Carousel, said he was gratified to have won reinstatement.

June 12, pm Updated June 13, am. A former principal dancer at the New York City Ballet claims his ex-girlfriend — who sued him for allegedly sharing secretly recorded naked photos and videos of her and other ballerinas — agreed to the racy pics and even asked for similar photos from him. Finlay resigned last August, and two other dancers, Zachary Catazaro and Amar Ramasar, were fired soon after the lawsuit came out.
